Sue Kimber is Professor of Stem & Developmental Biology, Division of Cell Matrix Biology & Regenerative Medicine at the University of Manchester.

Her research focusses on how the human embryo develops and the use of human embryonic stem cells (hESc) and induced pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) to understand human development, for use in clinical cell-based therapy and for modelling human genetic diseases. Her department is currently working towards a new therapy for cartilage disease (e.g. osteoarthritis) employing PSC-derived chondrocytes.
